Resident Evil For Wii Storys?

Well, I have watched the movies,which I totally liked, and I want now to play the games. Having no playstation , how can I play the games, which follow the same story? I have a Nintendo Wii, so I know that there are some games for wii, but I don't know if the follow that story or they explain it through the story and the memories of the characters.
To sum up, I have a wii, I don't want to play them on playstation ( as I don't have one, and as I don't want to play them with such a bad quality). Just want to know the story and play them there. (Please, do not make any suggestions that include a pc simulator)
I got some interesting answers to this question. But I ask if there's a way to play them and learn the story. I want to become RE fan, too, but what kind of fan would I be, If i hadn't played the games.

In terms of the main story (which is different to the story in the films), the Resident Evil games are in this order: Resident Evil: Zero, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil 5.

You don't need the PlayStation games as the Wii games cover the whole story. There are currently five Resident Evil games for the Wii and you should play them in this order:

Resident evil Archives: Resident Evil: Zero is a third person survival horror and is the first in the series. The story follows a member of the S.T.A.R.S Bravo Team (Rebecca Chambers) as the initial virus breaks out.

Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil takes place straight after Resident Evil: Zero. You control members of the S.T.A.R.S Alpha Team (Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine) who are in search of the missing members of the Bravo Team.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles is an on-rail shooter that retells the stories of Resident Evil: Zero, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The game explains more about how the virus has spread and what happens to the characters after the first two games.

Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles is also an on-rail shooter and covers the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica, as well as some back story of the characters. The game follows Leon Kennedy's introduction to the series, as well as Claire Redfield's search for her brother Chris Redfield.

Note that the two games above overlap in the story, as much of the events are taking place at the same time (for example, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 feature stories that run side-by-side).

Resident Evil 4 is a third person action adventure and is last in the series (for the Wii), taking place years after the events of the other games. If you play them in that order you'll get a grasp of the story, but to be honest the plot is a bit all over the place and can be confusing... This is because the games explaining the back story (the Chronicles games and Resident Evil: Zero) were made years after the original games (Resident Evil, 2, 3, Code Veronica).
