What is the best Nintendo DS game for me?

I love mini games, "whodunnits", puzzles, brain teasers. I tried Zenses and that wasn't challenging enough. Any suggestions? In the past I've had Animal Crossing (loved it!) & all the Mario games. BTW, I'm 27 and a kid at heart!

Professor Layton and the Curious Village is just for you!! It incorporates a range of puzzles, riddles and brain teasers into a wonderful storyline that will get you hooked on to the game for days. There are secrets to be unlocked which are completely worth the effort. Plus the thinking music is quite catchy! So the story: Professor Layton is a renowned puzzle solver from England. He receives a request from Lady Dahlia to solve a mystery that surrounds their village: The Golden Apple. Along with his wide-eyed apprentice, Luke, they venture off to the curious village as they come to meet the most strangest of characters and discover the secret that underlies this quirky town.

Another great game is the Phoenix Wright series. The game involves mystery and humour (the jokes are lame but they do work XD) and gives you a feel for the courtroom. Phoenix Wright (who you'll be playing as for most of games) begins as a amateur lawyer and faces his first case: a murder.
The great thing about this game is that each case is very unique and as you progress, the more complex it gets and the more twisted the cases are. I remember being shocked when I found out the truth, excited when I identified crucial evidence and frustrated when I couldn't find contradictions when cross-examinig the witnesses. You'll be able to collect evidence and draw the truth from the stubbornest of witnesses.

I'll highlight that these games are very vivid and their characters are very lovable, so I hope you'll enjoy them!
