nintendo wii has screwed up my laptop IP address! what can i do?
my son has tried connecting to the web with his nintendo wii, unfortunately now, whenever my laptop tries to acquire a network ip address, it fails to do so. for all the techies: ive done ipconfig/release...that worked but wont let me do ipconfig/renew. so ive done all the old "dos" and windows thingies and now im at a deadend. can you help? im running xp sp2.
correct term is:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew all
(spaces are needed where shown)
second, make sure your router is setup do handle more DHCP entries. Sometimes you may have put a cap on the ammount of connected users.
